Nā Pua Pasifika focuses on sustainability in Hawai’i Nei. Each segment spotlights one of five main food crops used throughout the Pacific Islands that can be key building blocks of food security for the state: ‘Ulu (breadfruit), Kalo (taro), Uhi (true yam), Kapioka (tapioca), and ‘Uala (sweet potato).
The third episode – Kapioca features the same host as our 'Ulu episode, Angelina McCoy. Together, her and Uncle Ricky show us how easy it is to plant, harvest and cook with Kapioca while demonstrating several dishes that you can prepare at home using only a handful of ingredients.
