ʻOahu-born Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award-winning musician is known throughout these Hawaiian Islands for his innovative and inspiring songwriting styles. With his own signature style of Hawaiian Motown country music, John Cruz has performed for Kahilu Theatre many times over the course of his career. In addition to his solo career, he has played with Henry Kapono and Brother Noland in the Rough Riders, Jack Johnson, and Paula Fuga. As someone who came from a musical family, John knows the importance music can have on a child’s life. His passion and support of cultural and educational projects allows him to encourage kids to believe in themselves and follow their inspirations.
